A 29-year-old man in New Hampshire is facing multiple serious charges after authorities say he violently attacked his sister and her friend with a hatchet and a steak knife, leaving both victims with life-threatening injuries.
According to investigators, the incident occurred during a confrontation inside a residence, where the suspect allegedly told the victims he was going to end “years of abuse” before launching the attack. Police say the man used both a hatchet and a kitchen knife during the assault.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and provided immediate medical aid before transporting the victims to a nearby hospital. Both individuals were reported to be in critical condition but are expected to survive.
Officers took the suspect into custody at the scene without further incident. Authorities have not released additional details about the alleged abuse claims but say the investigation is ongoing.
