Accident, 41 Injuries ; North Suburban Man Charged After Wisconsin Bus Crash, Injures Dozens in Green Bay

GREEN BAY Wis. — A 37-year-old man from Prospect Heights has been charged following a bus crash that injured dozens of passengers over the weekend, authorities said Tuesday.

Figueroa was driving a tour-style bus transporting passengers from Chicago to a Michigan casino when the vehicle crashed through an embankment, coming to rest between warehouses near North Webster Avenue and Interstate 43 on Sunday afternoon.

Initially, 33 of the 54 passengers were reported injured, but that number has since risen to 41, with two passengers listed as critically injured.

Figueroa was arrested by Green Bay police the night of the crash. The Wisconsin State Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
