Police in Suffolk arrested a man early Monday morning after a physical altercation inside a residence escalated and a firearm was discharged. Officers were called to the 100 block of Niblick Circle shortly after 1:00 a.m. following a report of an individual with a weapon.
According to investigators, 47-year-old Winel Bray Jr., who is known to the homeowner, was involved in a dispute that turned physical with another person inside the home. During the confrontation, a shot was fired inside the residence. Authorities have not indicated that anyone was struck by the gunfire, and no injuries have been reported at this time.
Responding officers quickly secured the scene and took Bray into custody without further incident. Police have not yet released details about what led to the altercation or the relationship between Bray and the other individual involved.
