CHICAGO — Two people were injured in a stabbing aboard a CTA Red Line train early Wednesday morning in Chicago, Illinois, police said.
The incident occurred around 1:26 a.m. near the 200-block of West 47th Street. According to authorities, the victims were approached by a male suspect, and a verbal altercation escalated into violence when the suspect produced a sharp object and attacked them.
Both victims suffered puncture wounds to the neck and were transported to nearby hospitals, where they were listed in fair condition.
Detectives with the Chicago Police Department are investigating the incident.
